Come visit our
new Buffalo Gallery, located at the Wainwright Museum in the Old Train Station
in downtown Wainwright. This exhibit is on Buffalo National Park,
Canada’s early nineteenth century plains bison saving effort.
Future Development The Buffalo National Park Interpretive Centre is in the process of developing the Buffalo Park Centre and Regional Archives to preserve, present, and interpret regional history for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations. The centre will have permanent exhibit space to tell the Buffalo National Park story, one the earliest and largest wildlife saving efforts in Canada, and rotational exhibit space to attract outside exhibitions. The Regional Archives will preserve and protect the many important records and stories of our east-central Alberta communities.
