Village of Alliance

Alliance, the little village at the end of the steel.  It is a must visit for all serious travelers. This unique village can be found just off Highway 36 between Highways 12 and 13. Let the elevators be your guide.

 

Alliance remains a pretty town close to the Battle River and surrounded by the largest grain producing area in Alberta. It has much to offer thealliance campgrounds 007 visitor who can stroll on Nature's Way Walking Trail, and along the tree-lined street where colorful gardens can be enjoyed.

 

While in Alliance visit our interesting museum, which is housed in the former Catholic Church. Besides its many displays, the collection includes a log cabin, working blacksmith's shop, old machinery and a partly refurbished CNR section man's house.

 

As you stroll the streets, you will see steel sculptures which depict Alliance's wildlife, history and way of life. These unique sculptures were designed, cut with plasma cutter, and painted by a local artist.

 

There is a camping and picnic area, a school built in 1925 and lots of friendly businesses ready to help you. Home cooked meals are available at the Valley Inn and the Commercial Hotel, and both facilities have rooms available.

 

The Trail of the Buffalo may lead you to Alliance, but drivers need to be alert for deer, coyote and moose suddenly crossing the road and overhead geese, white swans, and other birds are a common sight.
