Within the Special Areas #4 is the Gooseberry Lake Provincial Park  located 12 kilometers north of Consort on Hwy #41.  Enjoy the shade or take the kids to the wading pool or playground; go fishing or golfing.    The park has 3 group campgrounds, (one group shelter with cook stove, power & tap water) for a total of 37 camping units, 18 serviced sites with power and water, 35 un-serviced sites, 2 camp kitchens, fire pits, and a sewage dump station.  Along with the well-kept campground and picnic/playground areas, the park hosts beautiful scenic hiking/walking trails for the nature enthusiast. Adjacent to the park, the Consort Lakeview Golf Course boasts one of the most picturesque 9-hole grass green golf courses in the area and welcomes visitors to it’s licensed clubhouse complete with amenities – including showers!
