Art in the Heart

A 2 day/ 2 night circle tour to enjoy the artistic treasures of Forestburg, Galahad and Alliance all within ½ hour driving distance.

 

Exploring these three cozy rural communities, you will discover a wide variety of art on display for your viewing pleasure. You may even be inspired to try your own creativity with a lesson in Stained Glass Art, Diamond Willow Woodworking, Woodturning, or a private painting lesson with local artists.

 

Alliance, an Artistic Touch

  • Steel nature sculptures including a deer, buffalo, red fox, beaver, Canada Geese, and a butterfly, are scattered throughout the Village - how many can you find?
  • Main street murals, paintings, and cartoon art decorate the Bottle Depot, the Village Office, AG Hardware, and Bob’s Corner Service
  • Legion Memorial Park on Railroad Avenue is alive with color in the summer
  • Visit our Peace Garden at Main Street and 2nd Ave West
  •  “Clouds Hill 2” -  Don’t miss this amazing eclectic collection of art, music and literary treasures - the private collection of local artist Norman Johnston,  located at 214 -1st Avenue East. He is always thrilled to provide a personal tour. Norman would also be willing to offer a private water-color painting lesson.  Give him a call at 780-879-3762.
  • Main Street Medley is a unique gift shop well worth a little browsing time.  Laurie and her staff would even make a personalized memento for you.

 

Galahad - A MedievalVillage

  • The Medieval theme is exhibited in the Memorial park and Main street horse sculptures, as well as the uniquely named streets.

Forestburg - 1999  Communities in Bloom National Champion
