Built in 1915 and closed in 1987 the St. Laurence Anglican Church was saved from demolition in 1988.  The Monitor Historical Society was formed to restore and preserve the church.  In February of 1993 the St. Laurence Anglican Church was designated a Registered Historical Resource by  Alberta Culture and Multiculturalism.  This 91 year old building faces ongoing restoration by the 17 members of the Monitor Historical Society.   Tel: 780-753-6741
